Faculty

Center for African Studies faculty have a wide range of disciplinary backgrounds and interests. Africanist faculty are housed in seven of the Colleges on campus (Arts & Sciences, Communication, Education, Engineering, Fine Arts, Health and Human Services, and the College of Osteopathic Medicine), encompassing over 37 departments. With such a diverse group, the Center for African Studies provides several forums for faculty to interact and become familiar with each other’s work. In addition to the numerous activities hosted by the Center for African Studies, faculty meetings are scheduled quarterly as well as weekly Brown Bag sessions.
