Graduate Assistantship: Primary task is teaching African languages: Sudanese Arabic at the Advanced level. He also tutors Modern Standard Arabic

   

Sandra Ayivor, M.A. student, African Studies

Graduate Assistantship: Works with the Assistant Director. Manages the filing of the African Studies Programs throughout the quarter. Records the programs online (IEPS).

Kimberly Osborn, M.A. student, African Studies

Graduate Assistantship: Works in the university library's Center for International Collections, assistant to the librarian for the African section.  Work activities include sorting books donated to the collection; helping students find books and articles; and developing an extensive online reference list for the microform documents related to Africa that are available in the OU library and other Ohiolink partners.

   

Christine Potts, M.A. student, African Studies

Graduate Assistantship: Works with the Assistant Director of Instructional Technology. Primary tasks include managing the department website, designing new pages, maintenance, and updates. She also designs and edits department literature.

   

Ousmane Sene, M.A. African Studies and Economics

Graduate Assistantship: Primary task is teaching African languages: Wolof at multiple levels.

   

Bridget Tetteh-Batsa, M.A. student, African Studies

Graduate Assistantship: Primary task is teaching African languages: Akan at the beginner and intermeidate levels.

Graduate Assistantship:  Reports directly to the Assistant Director of African Studies.  Manages communications from the office of the Assistant Director to the faculty members of the program.  Manages the organization of seminars, workshops, and the African Studies Brown Bag Series.
