Resources for Faculty Research

Faculty affiliated with African Studies Center may apply for funding to present at conferences or to conduct research, or engage in other scholarly activities that contribute to the academic mission of the African Studies Center.  New research initiatives that show promise of future external funding are encouraged.  For more information, see Guidelines for Faculty Funding.

The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs assists faculty in identifying appropriate funding agencies and preparing research proposals.  For assistance in targeting your search to appropriate sources of funding or using these electronic resources, contact Grants Information Manager Susan Loughridge at 593-0374 or by e-mail: loughrid@ohio.edu.

Judi Rioch is the pre-award administrator for International Studies and is available to help faculty plan their proposal submission.  She can assist faculty in navigating the electronic documentation required for applications to federal agencies.  She can be contacted at 593-9985 or by e-mail: rioch@ohio.edu.
