Hands on cross-cultural classroom teaching experience and living with a Ghanaian host family
Explore different parts of Ghana through program sponsored excursions
Participants get the opportunity not only to teach in this serene and beautiful country located along the west coast of Africa, they also get to learn a new culture as well.
Teach in Ghana participants have a unique opportunity to gain real teaching experience while exploring the rich culture of this West African nation. Students are placed in primary, junior or senior high schools and develop cross-cultural teaching skills that are becoming increasingly important in today’s U.S. schools and classrooms. Through full immersion in the placement schools, homestays and weekend excursions, participants will learn from and about Ghanaian people, culture and traditions.
